Hi guys, been awol for a while. Loads going on in my world lately. Some good some bad! But it seems to have settled down now. Just done ( hopefully?) my last hospital for 6 weeks so can now look to get away for a short break. Weather still hit and miss but don’t care,a break is needed.
Vince don’t know if you remember Burchalls pies? They’re shutting this week after more than 100 yrs. everyday they make 1000 pork pies and they’ve gone by 12 pm. People have been coming from Norfolk and beyond, 2 hr + queues to get their last supplies.keep well everyone I’ll catch up soon

Hi everyone, hope you’re all safe down under? We’ve experienced the odd earthquake but nothing like or on the scale of some of your weather. It’s quite Vince and sunny but deceivingly cool up here. Gonna nip into town for a few hours, not the old Monday Club but might call in the Sefton and check on old faces. I’ll have a mooch and see if there’s any more work been done on the redevelopment. Keep safe lads let’s hope we’ve all got better things to discuss sooner rather than later

Hi lads, had a walk round town before. Vince do you remember the Swan? Near holy cross church. It’s getting demolished in the new regeneration plans. The council closed it before Xmas along with the hardshaw centre . It’s still not been touched and the hardshaw centre is the same!! They plan to move the bus terminal from town centre to near the canal, mental! Many years ago I had the chance to emigrate , I wish I’d overruled Linda and gone, this town is a joke. Sorry I’m on a bit of a rant today? Never went out yesterday🙈normal service will be resumed tomorrow 😂😉

Good morning all. Woke up this morning and couldn’t believe the weather! A lovely spring day, sunny cool but not cold. Puff has timed his visit well. Not much going on so I’m thinking I might just sneak round to the bowler for a few pints and a bit of grown up conversation whilst Linda catches up on her housework 😉😂

We’ve started doing a similar thing to your fire puff? Instead of having the heating timed, I just turn it down when we go to bed or out. As the temp drops it kicks in and takes the chill off. Then when we want it on properly it heats up in minutes. I’ve been monitoring it and it’s actually cheaper to run.

Hi lads, you’re all making me jealous with your weather reports! It’s freezing here, we’re expecting snow mid week. Had a busy week with hosp appts etc and a few more this week.Then I’ve got wait for results so still can’t book a holiday.
Looking to go somewhere warm but not too hot then if we have a summer here I’ll look at somewhere in uk.Got me thinking though? Where do Australians go to for holidays and even puff in Spain?
Vince you wouldn’t know our town centre now, the massive redevelopment they did 50 yrs ago is being redeveloped!!! Couldn’t make it up! I don’t know if you remember Burchalls pies? He’s retired and won’t pass on the recipe. Best pork pies anywhere😪.
